This is the first and most important step for building websites. It is all about discovering who you are, what you want your website to do for you and what your customers want from your website. We take a look at what your competitors are doing well, and what they aren't doing so well.
We take a look at any branding you currently have and we discuss the approach we feel your website should take.
By the end of this phase we should have a clear idea of what work needs to be done and an idea of how long it should take to complete.
The design phase is where the bulk of the hard work is done. During this time things like text, images and logos are brought together and where we go through the process of figuring out the best possible solution to the specifications we came up with during the discovery phase.
I like to use a combination of sketches, wireframes and mood boards to test ideas and make sure that everyone is on the same page with what they expect the finished article to look like.
Developing the site is where most of the technical stuff happens. I get to work on building the structure and look of the website based on the agreed designs from the previous phase.
I also do all the testing to make sure the website behaves itself in all the major website browsers such as internet explorer, safari, chrome, firefox and opera.
Once you are happy that the website is ready, its time to set it loose on the world wide web. I will make sure the website is working as expected and that your website can be found within search engines such as google or bing.
Just because your website is now out there for the world to see doesn't mean this is the end of our working relationship. I offer a fantastic after sale service where I can help you keep your website up to date or even help you to make the most of your website through things such as social media. I can also produce reports to show you how well your website is performing. For your brand new website, this is just the beginning.
